I saw your comments on The Mary Sue about diet and followed your link here, and read your “about” page. I commented on the same topic and I just thought I’d particularly recommend to you the blog that I linked to, Healthy Diets and Science: http://healthydietsandscience.blogspot.com/ It showcases a lot of health research that you’ll pretty much never see in the headlines, stuff like how saturated fat and meat are good for both your short- and long-term health. I can also highly recommend the Weston A. Price Foundation, http://www.westonaprice.org/ particularly their book “Nourishing Traditions”.
Depression is often at least as much of a physical health issue as a mental one, and it can result from a lot of things, including macro- and micronutrient deficiencies. Good luck in your journey to better health!
